Early detection of vision problems in childhood is critical to prevent permanent vision loss.
Amblyopia: glasses and patching. Strabismus: glasses, prism or surgery. Myopia: glasses, orthokeratology or myopia control lenses.
First exam at 6 months, then at 2-3 years and before school.
If treated before age 7, success rate is very high. Treatment becomes harder with age.
